Children's Sex Change Surgery Regret Act

The bill would simply say that any adult who had sex change surgery as a child has the right to sue their parent(s)/caretaker(s), surgeons, and/or any other party that was responsible for the decision making and performance of the surgery…if said child regrets such decision as an adult.

The right would supercede any waiver or other release signed by the child…and there would be no statute of limitations.

As a policy, this would effectively end child sex change operations. Should they want one, they can make that decision once they reach adulthood.

This also includes suing the ‘caring parties’ that promoted all this including school counselors and teachers, this has become a pervasive problem

I think rather than suing the caretaker, they should be able to sue whoever did the surgery, ONLY if they did it when they were under 18. This would make medical professionals more weary to perform these surgeries on minor as well considering the possibility of getting sued in the future and decrease the amount of cases.

Instead of doing it indirectly, why not just simply ban sex change treatments on minors altogether at a federal level? No puberty blockers and no sex change suregery until you’re 18 or perhaps even 21.
