Charge Labs and Universities with Animal Cruelty

I think, for the most part, Americans have begrudgingly agreed that animal testing may be necessary to ensure a medication or medical procedure is safe for human use. But I’m fairly certain none of us agreed to nonsense experiments that are needlessly cruel, like live beagles having their heads eaten off by sandflies. What was the purpose for that level of Cruelty, that it couldn’t have been performed on cadavers? We didn’t agree to cats, shrimp, goats, snakes, chinchillas, or anything else on treadmills. Who cares, follow them with your own money. Any labs should be in this country, where we can monitor the care and use of the animals. I’d like to see the animals labs that are not directly related to medical development shut down. Cosmetic companies already know what’s safe and what’s not. Use it. I’d also like to see the labs and the people associated with the labs that are involved in cruel, unnecessary experimentation of animals charged with our federal Animal Cruelty law. I’d also like to see them fined and have to return all of the federal money they received for these outrageous experiments. We can then use that money to build a program to rehabilitate these animals for either release, sanctuary, or home and build sanctuaries for these animals. I think its important to follow the animals thru their lifespan to find out the long term effects of what these ppl did to them, both physically and behaviorally, as it may lead to the development of more effective human trauma recovery.
