Members of congress, NIH, FDA etc cannot go onto work in an industry in which their government position impacted said industry by passing laws, bills, regulations or standards. Currently members of congress and other government positions vote in favor of an industry agenda and end up getting a high paying job in that industry a short time later. It’s a conflict of interest and influences votes in favor of industry instead of the people. Votes are not being cast with the best interest of the people and the country in mind.

This prohibition can be put in place constitutionally in the Convention of States proposed here.
