Capital punishment policy/law against influencing legislation

Any entity or individual found using any method to influence legislation or policy through financial or non-financial means through blackmail, direct financial incentives, indirect financial incentives, or any incentive to any legislator, their direct or indirect family member, staffer, employee, or associate, shall be prosecuted with capital punishment.

Only through the harshest of punishments, acted upon and carried out swiftly, can we return our legislators to their Constitutional duties of actually writing the legislation that is passed, and removing the outside actors who have so much influence over policy and decisions today.

Uh no. That’s too drastic. The End is not justified.

The goal is to get money out of politics. The hope would be that the drastic end would mean it would never have to be used, as purely financial penalties would mean it would simply become an NPV calculation as to how much a fine would add to the cost of corruption from monied interests. As goes the saying, “a fine is merely a way to be able to break a law if you have the cash.”
