Cap costs on inhalers

Inhalers are life saving medications and are outrageously expensive even with insurance.

With insurance, I can no longer get the cheaper generic inhaler and have to get name brand and my copay is significantly more because of it.

Insurance companies are also pulling out certain inhalers. For example, I have used the same inhaler for over 30 years and now insurance will no longer cover it.

It would be a great policy to cap the costs of inhalers and making it to where insurance cannot dictate what medication you’re allowed to have.

I should be able to have a choice on what works for me to control asthma symptoms.

Agreed. Im going thru the same issue. 90% of insurance companys are no longer covering my inhaler yet is the only one that works well with no side affects. The price without insurance is over $1,500 a month. This is insane, dont know what I’m going to do. The one company i did find will still charge me over $200 a month. Last few years it was costing me only $47 a month. It’s insane!
