Call for Equal Rights Amendment Publication

The American People added the Equal Rights Amendment to the US Constitution on January 27, 2020 when Virginia became the 38th State to ratify the Amendment “Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.”
Our Constitution was written and amended by and for men. Technically the only right women have is the right to vote. The ERA embraces women so that they are citizens of equal stature. President Trump illegally derailed publication of an updated Constitution with a bogus 1/6/20 Office of Legal Counsel Memo penned by Bill Barr. Unfortunately President Biden has followed in his predecessor’s footsteps and has refused to support a Democracy where women are equal citizens. We are out of step with the world. 168 international constitutions guarantee gender equality. The policy is to put pressure on the levers of power to give “We The People” our Constitution published with the ERA as the 28th Amendment. The Senators, Governors and the President are fully aware of the urgency for publication. They are also aware that their oath of office requires them to work for publication. As Senator Blumenthal so clearly said -

“The importance of the Equal Rights Amendment cannot be overstated. Outside of the right to vote, enshrined just over a century ago by the 19th Amendment, women are entirely absent from our Constitution. It is inexcusable that women and girls still cannot find a guarantee of equality under the law reflected in our Constitution.”

The truth is that how a government treats its female citizens is how it ultimately treats all its citizens. We need men to stand up for a Democracy for all. Demand that your elected officials put ERA publication front and center. Want info go to ShatteringGlass. .org
