Budget Veto Override

The President should veto any budget that contains spending that doesn’t directly require the functioning of the government, or constitutional responsibilities to the People.

Congress should have to actually negotiate budgets that can not be overridden by veto. This signals to voters what both sides of the congressional aisle stand for. It places faces to the waste of congressional spending.

Tax revenue should be used for the benefit of the taxpayers. If congress wants to waste taxpayer dollars they should have to do it despite a presidential veto.

This should be the President’s stance on day one so there is no confusion or misunderstanding of what is expected of congress.
