Take away the televisions and internet. Let them read only books with moral capacity. Bring back hard labor for those doing hard time. Make them face actual consequences.

I was impressed with what the president of El Salvador is doing with its prisoners and that is teaching the prisoners skills which is not done in American prisons.

Me too. When I saw how El Salvador’s prisons are made me think about ours. We can do so much better than we have. Actual consequences.
I love the idea of them learning trades for the ones that would be released back into society. Educational books too.

Stop attacking ppl you judge less worthy. She or He who is we prior sin shall cast the first stone. Maybe you should go sit in prison for 30 days so you know what it’s like before you pass judgement! The Majority of America is Morally bankrupt! What judgement shall you pass on them including yourself bc you’re no saint!
No, I am no saint, but I am a survivor of more than one attack. I don’t go out and commit crimes but have had them done to me. You are right that most are morally bankrupt. Each one of us has a choice. I am not responsible for the choices others make, only my own. We can’t control what anyone says, thinks or does, but we can control our own reaction to it.
