Policy Proposal for Blockchain Voting System
Objective: To enhance the security, transparency, and efficiency of U.S. elections through the implementation of blockchain technology.
Overview:
Blockchain Integration: Utilize blockchain for secure, transparent vote recording. Each vote will be encrypted, ensuring privacy and enabling real-time, immutable vote counts.
Voter Verification: Employ multi-factor authentication for identity confirmation, possibly including biometrics for enhanced security.
Pilot and Rollout: Begin with pilot programs in local elections, gradually scaling up to national implementation, supported by necessary legal amendments and public education.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure system decentralization to avoid vulnerabilities, with full auditability that protects voter anonymity.
This proposal focuses on the key points of security, transparency, and gradual implementation, aiming to make a compelling case for adopting blockchain in voting in the United States of America.

As a 2024 Poll Watcher in a small precinct, I am shocked at the variety of ways there are for fraud to happen even after the significant changes in laws to secure the vote after 2020.
As we can see in AZ and NV, there are tremendous opportunities for fraud when votes can still be counted 5 days after the election.
In addition, this year there are reports of US Postal employees dumping ballots; hundreds of ballots filled out by the same person during canvassing; ballot paper being printed outside of Federally approved vendors; illegal immigrants being allowed to vote, and more.
Too many people are necessary in our current system. Blockchain will eliminate the need for most people in the system and, therefore, eliminate fraud.

We absolutely NEED every ballot on a blockchain. But you don’t need to vote electronically to do this, and you don’t even need voter ID (certainly not biometrics). A blockchain can cryptographically sign the entire chain of custody of every paper ballot cast, from the moment it’s printed to the moment it’s counted. It would make voting completely tamper-proof and totally transparent. Anyone with an internet connection could validate polling data in realtime. Paper ballots signed by a blockchain. This should be the way America votes.
