Bitcoin has the power to change the economy as we know it. Fewer intermediaries, lower fees, more transparency, and more. It has all of the positives of gold with much less drawbacks. To reach its full potential and to assist the United States in entering an economic Renaissance I recommend the following:
The government should as soon as possible begin safeguarding its existing Bitcoin and begin buying more, possibly as high of a percentage of Bitcoin as we have of gold. This stockpile should be locked for at least 20 years and be used as a Trust/Sovereign Wealth Fund for the American people. Eventually it should only be used to pay off US debt or as a basis for Universal Basic Income, or a similar policy, which may result from the rapid advancement of AI.
