Section 1: Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to ensure the protection of the first ten amendments to the United States Constitution by holding elected officials and government employees personally accountable for any actions that violate these fundamental rights.
Section 2: Definitions
- Bill of Rights: The first ten amendments to the United States Constitution.
- Government Official: Any elected or appointed individual serving in a federal, state, or local government position.
- Violation: Any action, including voting on legislation, that infringes upon the rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights.
Section 3: Prohibition of Violations
No government official shall propose, support, or vote for any legislation, regulation, or executive action that violates any provision of the Bill of Rights.
Section 4: Accountability and Penalties
- Personal Liability: Any government official found to have violated the Bill of Rights shall be personally liable for all court costs and any monetary damages awarded to the victims.
- Legal Proceedings: Victims of such violations shall have the right to bring a lawsuit against the responsible government official in a court of competent jurisdiction.
- Reimbursement: Government funds shall not be used to cover the legal expenses or damages incurred by the offending official.
Section 5: Enforcement
- Oversight Committee: An independent committee shall be established to monitor compliance with this Act and investigate alleged violations.
- Reporting: Any citizen may report a suspected violation to the Oversight Committee, which shall investigate and, if warranted, refer the case to the appropriate legal authorities.
Section 6: Severability
If any provision of this Act is found to be unconstitutional or otherwise invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.
Section 7: Effective Date
This Act shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
