Bill limits

Bills should be limited to one issue. This current 1500 page Spending Bill is unacceptable. Nobody is going to read the entire Bill and know exactly what’s in it and what they are voting on.

Bills should also be presented to the public with a reasonable amount of time so “We the People” can give input to our elected representatives.

The days of Congress writing bills that are hundreds and even thousands of pages need to end.

CONGRESS
1 Requirement rule for all bills or laws to be voted on should have a minimum time period of 1 or 2 months available to all of congress and the public before a vote can take place.

2 Only one possibly 2 if similar items per vote.

Both of these would eliminate these mega sized documents with no time to even effectively review them.

Congress should be totally transparent on anything coming up for a vote. The public should have access to these bills in a timely manor. I will repeate the most idiotic statement ive ever heard. “We need to pass this so we can find out whats in it!” Passing any bill to find out whats in it is like the blind leading the blind.

Make all bills available to all of congress and the public for a minimum amount of time 1 month before they can be passed. I do realize that there may be circumstances where the passing of something for emergency purposes may be needed. Rules can be set up for this to take place in a common since way.

Thoughts from a 3rd generation Logger.

Well Congress is right now making shutting down the government an “EMERGENCY” because theyve had all year to pass one and now its an emergency. They could have passed the budget 6 months ago, or last month, but did they? NO, they do it so they can cram a bill full of their pork down our throats and deep six their unlawful earmarks. Unless its an act of war, that would be the only exception. One bill at a time.

I just learned that the speaker of the House, can bundle bills if they choose to, first if the speaker wants to bundle, this should only be related to the main bill.
Example : the tkitko ban bill, I heard that there was a bundle to this bill, what I heard there was a 10 billion dollars mutual aid and other bills added, so how does that relate to the ban of tiktko.
I see this as a smoke screen to get other bills passed that can not pass on its own
This is a trick that the government tries to pull one over the American people, so we don’t know what’s really going on.
