Not only are companies like Shien and Temu notorious for relying on slave labor, using extremely toxic chemicals that are banned in the US, and a global superpower when it comes to pollution, but they are also actively targeting US owned businesses. These companies were designed specifically to target American companies/ consumers, to the point where Chinese citizens haven’t even heard of them despite the insane popularity here in the states.
Both large companies and small, family owned businesses are being targeted by these terrible Chinese corporations and action needs to take place.
I constantly witness products designed by small businesses stolen and mass produced by these companies while being sold at rates that US companies cannot compete with. These products are made cheap, and are often covered in dangerous chemicals that cannot be washed off or removed.
Because of the extremely low prices, Americans are sending millions of US dollars to China instead of circulating money in our own communities.
And on top of all that, the apps/ websites for these companies scrape and sell all of your information.
