Ban on Dual Citizens in Government

Hmm, what about Ambassadors? That’s the only one I can think of where Dual Citizenship might be useful to have.

Absolutely. Any dual citizen elected into our government should renounce their citizenship of other countries.

Many many “Citizens” and “citizens” might not realize it but that ban should include individuals who have taken oaths , secret or otherwise, that are juxtaposed to the oath sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution… and I’m referring to people in frats, sororities even attorneys and their B.A.R. (British Accredited Registry)affiliation . If you don’t know about it, go do your due diligence before commenting.

agreed. the leaders who represent “the people” should be solely politically invested in the united of states. anything less is another path to foreign corruption. including the city, county, state, and federal employees further protects the fragile and degraded infrastructure. i.e electrical grid, bridges and dams.
to further this thought, i will highlight the recent use of non-citizens to police citizens federally and within the states. its all bad when foreign entities have been authorized to use deadly force on citizens. its a blatant disregard for citizen rights.

interesting thought. thinking ambassadors is a must.

think you have read a little much into this subject. the idea here is to prevent foreign influence in the politics, governing and enforcement . it is not necessary to become a citizen of a foreign country to do missionary work. if a country requires you to become a citizen of their country to perform your missionary service, you should re-consider entry, as it is manipulative. simply if you choose to serve america you must be solely invested in “one cesar”.

I’d challenge the value that this would bring to us. Immigrants that come to our country legally, some as children, can and have added value to our government. (e.g. Arnold Schwarzenegger)

Place of birth should not bar someone from holding office, especially given that some people may hold dual citizenship from a time in life that they can’t even remember.

Moreover, the federal government is the #1 employer in the country and indirectly employees many more through contracts. Eliminating the potential to be ANY government employee would severely limit the job opportunities for all immigrants. There are already restrictions for most, if not all, of these positions to be held by citizens, so barring people with dual citizenship seems cruel and unnecessary since they are still Americans and are active participants in paying taxes as well.

If I recall properly if you have a security clearance you have to resign your dual citizenship it could have changed though.

I think that if someone wants to run for any office or work in our government then they should be required to revoke any other citizenship before they ever begin to run or look for a job in the government.

How do you take your vote back? I didn’t mean to vote for this.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is an extremely poor example of someone who has added value to government. as the last republican governor in california he extended ab32 the cap and trade.

addressing your other concerns. agreed seems cruel. the idea is to replace current employees with those solely invested in america. removing any foreign influence, which is a huge problem. see my policy for foreign law enforcement.

we have non citizens legislating and policing citizens in the united states of america, with lethal force. particularly in california and the federal government.

Thats not exactly fair. Im a dual citizen because my father fought in the military and i happen to be born while they were stationed out of country doesnt make me less American.

Because im a dual citizen because my father fought for this country and i happen to be born during deployment but both my parents are American as am I

This would be huge! Foreign countries like Israel is literally making war plans within the white house. Absolutely insane.

If we banned all dual citizens, we would be able to actually function as a country.

it is not meant to be fair. it is meant to obstruct foreign influence in america. if you wish to serve, simply choose america as your country of citizenship and dissolve any foreign citizenship.

If you cannot be in the military without giving up dual citizenship how is it even possible for elected and government officials to do so?

Agree 100%…We can’t have Duel Citizenship with Government Officials. They HAVE to be America First People. Duel Citizenship allows them to make decisions and increase the chances of continuing Corruption. They can only be beholden to 1 Country…The USA…

You should only be in the US senate or Congress if you were born in the US or any of its territories.
I hate to say it but no naturalized citizens should be allowed to be elected to office in the US government.
