Ban LED Headlights

The USA should ban LED headlights due to the significant danger they pose to other drivers’ vision at night. LED headlights are often excessively bright, emitting intense blue-white light that can cause temporary blindness or impair vision when oncoming drivers encounter them. This glare makes it difficult to see the road, road signs, and other vehicles, increasing the likelihood of accidents, especially in low-light conditions. Older drivers and those with certain eye conditions are particularly vulnerable to these effects, as LED headlights can cause longer-lasting glare and eye strain. Despite their energy efficiency, the safety risks far outweigh the benefits, making it crucial to prioritize safer alternatives that reduce glare and protect the well-being of all road users. Implementing stricter regulations or banning the use of these overly bright headlights would help reduce accidents and improve night driving safety for everyone.

I cannot take it anymore. The DOT in our states are failing us. The lines are not reflective on MOST roadways. They allow these headlights anyways. NO ONE CAN SEE. I DON’T WANT TO DIE! For safety sake ban LED Headlights YESTERDAY!

I am 44 and am starting to fear that I will lose the ability to drive at night if they do not BAN LED HEADLIGHTS. How were these EVER allowed to be headlights??? They are known to cause eye damage such as macular degeneration! I don’t need a blind spot in the center of my vision because these harmful lights were allowed to be aimed right at my face while driving at night. It hurts my eyes. I literally have to look to the right of the car ahead of me and drive with my peripheral vision… but otherwise how do I get to work in the winter time without becoming blind? This is a really severe problem.
I don’t like LED altogether but to allow LED headlights is especially ludicrous.
