If an investment company owns or manages portfolios (including any other business they own or are apart of) of more than $1,000,000 (idk i just picked a number) than they cannot own or purchase any other single family residences. Housing is extremely hard to find and afford for many Americans because investment companies keep buying everything for cash on the spot. Those same companies then turn around and lease out those same properties for way more than the mortgage payment would be. It’s been keeping single people out of the housing market and even families.
