I propose a policy that bans hospitals from requiring mandatory vaccinations for nurses and physicians. Healthcare workers should have the right to make their own informed decisions about what they put into their bodies without fear of losing their jobs. By making vaccinations optional, we can not only respect individual freedoms but also address the growing nursing and healthcare worker shortage that continues to strain the system.
Many dedicated nurses and physicians have already been forced out of their careers for choosing not to vaccinate, further deepening the crisis in hospitals. Allowing healthcare workers to have control over their own medical decisions will help retain and bring back essential staff, ensuring that patient care is not compromised.
Giving people control over their bodies is a fundamental right, especially for healthcare professionals who understand the risks and benefits of medical interventions. This policy would empower them to make decisions based on personal and professional judgment without government or employer mandates.
This proposal is not about opposing vaccines but about protecting the freedom of choice. By lifting vaccine mandates, we will not only restore personal control but also combat the nursing shortage by allowing nurses and doctors to return to work or stay in their positions without the threat of losing their jobs.
Please support and “heart” this policy so it rises to the top and can be seen by Bobby Kennedy Jr. and everyone else, ensuring that healthcare professionals are free to decide what goes into their bodies, all while preserving the strength and quality of our healthcare system.
As a patient, I prefer robust discussions about medical treatments to fully understand the pros and con. All people should have full autonomy to determine what goes into their bodies. Preventing (or removing) qualified individuals who do not accept mandatory injections as a condition of employment increase bias in the workplace, and decreases the best possible patient care.
You can not allow doctors and nurses to have direct patient contact unless they have been vaccinated against diseases such as measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis b, and other diseases that have high rates of person to person transmission and subsequent high, devastating rates of lethality.
I have been in the medical field, starting with military medical service in 1980. I have been vaccinated against nearly every disease that there’s a vaccine for.
I am NOT in favor of mandating COVID or other types of flu vaccine, especially those that haven’t been researched thoroughly. And especially those that are touted to be “effective in reducing the symptoms but not a full preventative measure”.
BUT, where would you propose the line be drawn?
