Ban Artificial Food Dyes (Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Red 40)

Let’s not forget wax on our produce

There is no official tag to let consumers know the product has a wax on it.

Why do we have to wait for evidence that additives are terrible for you before they’re no longer allowed in food? Shouldn’t it be that you have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that something is safe before allowing it?

I totally agree with the banning of all the additives that are destructive to the human body. Europe is way ahead of the US in this issue. All GMO’s should be eliminated from the food supply world wide.

There is no good reason to poison our children with these dyes when there are beets and tumeric etc to color food if you must to attract consumers.

I did some research, and most of the food dyes used in USA and still being used in Europe as we speak. Only one that was actually banned is Red 3. The rest are still allowed, just under more regulations, and disclaimers. I do agree that we need to be carefully with wjat we put in our bodies. The thing is food dyes that are manufactured in USA have to go through testing to make sure they meet the current safety standards the FDA sets. I understand the concerns everyone has with this. However their is a bigger problem then just food dyes being used in USA. Im worried about the company’s that sell food dyes that are not being regulated. Company’s from China will sell plastic craft glitter and tell people its edible. Ive also seen Chinese companies sell ground up metals and say its edible.

I completely agree with ALL you’ve written. As a low income mom, to a seven yr old boy already starting PUBERTY :eyes:…this isn’t right! The food not only is it unaffordable, but it’s killing us! I’m in favor of taking the European food approach, my sons weight is getting up there, though is very active!! He’s got allergies, gets rashes, etc… I know it’s the Food! I have liver disease so diet is important in staying healthy! Only, I can’t afford healthy food, that will last! Buying beef, or chicken- is almost a luxury at this point. Along with organic veggies or fruit, and even most boxed products as well, are “bioengineered” in part…WHY?? We try our best to eat healthy, but where not getting, or feeling better…I’m DESPERATE for someone like RFK to get in there, and set us back on track on this country! He cares about our children’s health, unlike all of the rest of our Gov! I’m really looking forward to RFK helping get our country back healthy! I see the effects everyday, and I suffer from many issues due to this horrible food that’s been shoved down our throats!!

Do not forget about blue dyes! I’ve met many, many children recently that have “blue dye intolerances/allergies” (including my own child) it is not right with their little bodies and should also be removed from all food!
The effects are just as bad as red 40 they just present as something we are used to experiencing such as stomach aches and diarrhea and many never connect the dots that it’s blue dyes. Blue dye is in so many unexpected things!

Please include Blues and Greens
Also - note that they are in medications (including those specifically designed to reduce ADHD and antipsychotics even though the artificial dyes CAUSE those problems).

It’s also in common anti-biotics - and if you try to get them made without dyes you have to go to a compounding pharmacy, pay more for them AND then your insurance inevitably denies the claim because it says you filled out the form incorrectly.

It’s also in school soaps and school hand sanitizers! These things are making our kids have poor behavior in schools and lowering test scores.

Also - it should be mandatory to have it noted on CURED meats that it has Red dyes in it from the curing process.

Include Aspartame and Maltodextrine in those banned substances…

Because greedy corporations market them and make it hard to find information or spin information to make it confusing for the consumers. Other countries ban them outright and US should follow suit.

Our government is too big now. We don’t need to follow the Europeans down the path of a nanny state.

I believe that’s by design. Big pharma is taking it in bc were all sick.

Absolutely agree, it is a crime that our government allows the garbage that we’re consuming in our food supply .

I agree!! There’s no reason to keep allowing this in our food.

These food dyes are not the only problem! Any/all processed foods are laced with multitudes of poisons. Make food healthy again!

Until this happens, I suggest that people use the YUKA app identifies all harmful additives and give you better choice to choose from.
