Ban Artificial Food Dyes (Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Red 40)

Agreed! We live in North Dakota and are at the mercy of the seasons and do not always have access to the best fresh produce. It would at least bring some peace of mind that the readily available processed items are healthier than what we are available today.

I agree with banning artificial food dyes AND artificial flavoring AND natural flavoring AND MSG. Once these ingredients (and otherchemical toxins) are eliminated from processed foods I believe we will see an extraordinary pivot away from processed foods at toward whole, farm grown foods. It won’t take long before our nations health will improve.

STOP POISONING US !! You fucking criminals !!

Don’t forget that many of these artificial dyes are sulfa compounds. These can lead to allergic reactions in people and really mess up the immune system.

Organic foods. No chemicals. Lower prices than chemically modified or genetically modified

I guess there is nothing wrong with voting for this, but RFK already said this is a done deal. I don’t think anyone would argue against this one. Definitely want this but saving my vote for a less talked about subject.

Don’t start banning stuff. Let people make their own decisions. If they want to save money buying cheap and dangerous food that should be their choice. Now letting the public know of these dangers in more of a mainstream way I am all for

We are the only country that allows the poisonous stuff in our foods.

Not to mention the nano-sized colorants now being added to coca cola and pepsi pops. To think how long it took us to create a drug that could cross the blood brain barrier for alzheimers and such…we havent even begun to learn what nanosized colorants are going to do to humans and/or children.

I thought it was a crazy claim because I saw both companies denied it but pubmed had researched it and confirmed the presence of them.

But rather why don’t we inform people but not ban them. Let people make the choices on there own.

Yk that’s not true but ok

Causes major behavioral health in specific individuals.

Food Dyes that Cause Child Behavioral ProblemsRed dye #40 has been most commonly associated with aggressive and impulsive behavior in children. Tantrums, hitting, kicking and swearing are common reactions in children sensitive to this dye

“Evidence shows that synthetic food dyes are associated with adverse neurobehavioral outcomes in some children,” said OEHHA Director Dr. Lauren Zeise. “With increasing numbers of U.S. children diagnosed with behavioral disorders, this assessment can inform efforts to protect children from exposures that may exacerbate behavioral problems.”

These poisons are allowed for the USA, but the people that benefit from the health crisis caused by these poisons would never feed this to their kids. They are upper class. This poisonous food is for the poor and normies. Thats how they justify this.

These sorts of chemicals have no place in the diet of children.

Absolutely!! Get this mess out of our schools and bring in actual food for these kids to eat and fuel their bodies. Give them more outside time as well!!

abeling requirements for Apeel. And studies that demonstrate that is does not distrust the gut microbiome. It if does then it should be banned. A first step is that consumer should know if it’s being used. At the moment it’s too easy for stores to say they don’t carry produce coated with apeel bc there are no labeling requirements

Should have been done years ago.
One issue vote. Write it up and pass it next week.

I agree! Read all the 38 comments and everyone is right, and has made valid points, these additives and chemicals must be banned in our food! The next step is to ask the question to the FDA, who is absolutely responsible for the care and safety of the food Americans eat, why haven’t they banned these toxins already? This is a no-brainer! However, given the FDA’s true agenda, their executives have been known to swap back and forwards with Monsanto executives which should tell you everything you need to know. In short, the FDA is not complying with its mandate from Congress nor has the FDA been called out on its failings. This said, there is no need for further discussion the entire agency must be removed as people within the system who may well be good people however, they are all tainted with the same brush. A new structure needs to be installed to maintain the highest food safety standards for a healthy Nation going forward. Funding is the next issue which could adopt existing funds used to run the FDA agency.
