Ban all schools from displaying the blm and gay pride flag, mandate only allowing state flag and the country’s flag

Make it so all schools are prohibited from displaying any flags outside of the state flag and our nations flag. A small gay flag, or blm flag can be allowed but flags for other countries that hate us specifically the middle east is not allowed, if the classroom is a language room they may display the countries flag they are teaching (French, Italian, Spanish, German) outlaw teachers from teaching Arabic and a full background check on teachers to make sure they are legally here will be done any teachers from a different country here illegally will be deported back home for trying to teach illegally

Restrict that to public schools, sure. Private schools should be free to do as they please. A Catholic School should be allowed to fly the Vatican City or Lepanto flags, etc.
I do recommend leaving an exception for the school’s mascot/logo as a flag though

I don’t really like banning things. The school is a government organization so the school being banned from hanging the flags outside of what you listed is fine but make sure they do not extend that to the students because it’s a student’s hang a flag not on the flag pole but in the hall or as art it should not be banned it is freedom of speech even when we don’t like it.

This is a good point. I think the spirit behind the og poster is to stop a student from perceiving that the state endorses an ideology. A student can have a flag, but a public school flying a flag…sending the wrong message I think. Gov doesn’t stop you from practicing, but it also doesn’t show respect for any particular ideology.

As a language teacher (Spanish) I have many flags in my classroom for the language I teach. There are 21 Spanish speaking countries and I like to show representation and believe that it is good that our students can view and recognize another countries flag. My students are also diverse and say that when they come into my classroom and see the flag from their parents/grandparents country they feel seen and welcome when they enter my classroom. Some students have thanked me for this. The flags also are incorporated into groups as we will have Team Spain under the Spanish flag or Team Mexico under the Mexican flag. We talk about meaning and the history of the flags and what they represent to each country. This is a good thing. Be careful with the language used when saying “Ban all flags other than our Nation and State flags.” The last thing I want is people becoming more intolerant to those who are different. I never want someone to come into my classroom and see a flag from Mexico, Spain, El Salvador and feel “Triggered” or “Offended” and complain. Could you imagine if I had to tell my students of Hispanic or Spanish decent that I had to take down their flag because it is now deemed “Offensive.” It’s a thin line between “Ban all” and “Discrimination.”

I think if it’s a Spanish class or something, you should be able to have some other country flags. But not drowned out by the American Flag. Otherwise, it should be mandatory across all schools Public or private.

You lack conviction. NO GAY FLAGS. NO BLM FLAGS. ONLY OUR AMERICAN FLAG.
Exception foreign language classes and only for educational purpsoses.
