  1. Congress and their spouses should be prohibited from holding or trading individual stocks while in office and for 15 years after leaving office on anything they voted on.
  2. Congress members should make the median income of the State or district they represent.
  3. No more full pension and benefits after serving only 5 years. The time that they serve can be credited towards their actual retirement just like other government employees.
  4. all current member’s and new members of Congress should take a scenario based test on the U.S. constitution and our founding principles.

I think your ideas may need a convention of states to get done, but I do like the ideas.

I think that you are right. I don’t see Congress ever passing restrictions on themselves.
