Having 4 children, all 4 young adults, I would like to see the government development of a national apprenticeship program. I believe this could help all Americans obtain skills and expertise in all areas of Design and manufacturing, etc… I also think it could help small businesses by creating entrepreneur with real world experience. I also think it could help advance skills and technology through knowledge retention by learning from experts in their own fields. I think Mike Rowe did a podcast on this a few years ago … I think he would be a good person to talk to for more information on this subject
I totally agree. One of President Trump’s Executive orders [Education]Executive Order 13801, Section 7** , Expanding Apprenticeships in America deals with this issue and my organization will be participating in providing internships from the local colleges.
Excellent idea. Open up technical high schools again. Let kids learn skills like plumbing, HVAC, auto mechanics, drafting, etc… My dad always said, ‘if you learn a trade, you’ll never go hungry’. Makes sense to let people learn trades in middle and high school.
Kids should graduate high school with a degree or certification and ready to work. Bring back Home-Econ, shop, welding, car repair, electrical, HVAC etc. (Freon doesn’t cause holes in the ozone - these laws just insure continual sales of new HVAC equipment. Stop that nonsense too)
