Annual performance review

In the corporate world when you start a new job, you are given on list of objectives and Associated performance metrics. Then you are assessed along those metrics after six months and after one year for your annual performance review. If you fail to meet those objectives there are consequences. I’ve always wanted public servants and politicians to have performance reviews. Not quite sure what they do for their day-to-day work, but it would be wonderful for it to be transparent with metrics that were objective to assess whether or not they are performing their role.

Love this! KPI’s for every federal employee & department, available to the public.

I agree completely with Simone. The government should be treated the same as in corporate america. For 27.5 yrs I worked for a fortune 250 company & had to justify my job many, many times. I also had to report to my manager what I had accomplished that week. Some of this was able to be tracked so it had to be reported correctly. My entire department was phased out and after training our replacements in India I transferred to another department. Then I was riffed with a severance because of my age.
