There was a post made by President Trump referencing a post high school education that I haven’t heard much about recently. Im a graduate of the US Air Force Academy and a 20 vet. The opportunity at that age to learn a trade get a degree or go straight to work could benefit our country greatly by developing a civil service education process. If the government sends you to hvac school you can goto work as a civil servant to pay back your education. I dont need an hvac expert to carry a weapon. Build our military as gunfighters and war fighters build our backbone of professionals in every job type with the opportunity to learn their trade and build our country.
If Trump makes a free online University. I would like them to please add free education for emergency management AA, BAS, Masters, and Certificates to be made for the public. The country across the board is hurting for Emergency Management people. 2020 COVID plus 2-4 years of stress have burned out a lot of Emergency Managers. Many have retired early. The country is understaffed across the nation to deal with disasters. There are people like me who want to help but don’t have money to take the education. I also need to work simultaneously full-time to make ends meet.
Please add OSHA safety officer certifications to this list. The cost to take these courses from the university is expensive and out of reach for normal working people. More specifically in the State of Washington, there are requirements for these certifications to be a safety officer: Certified as a Washington Workers’ Compensation Professional and Safety and Health Specialist.
In general, it would be nice to see certification classes for various industries to be free. The cost of ongoing education keeps going up.
