As an educator, I have seen Pride flags displayed in the classroom along with other political flags that do not represent the country. Only the American flag will be displayed in classrooms.

I disagree I think it is important to have all flags in the classroom and taught about all the flags let’s not limit the children let’s teach them about the other cultures of the world. Why shut them out yes we live in America and this is our country maybe place our flag center of the room and have the other flags smaller and under ours so to symbolize this flag is most important as far as the LGBTQ flag that is in my opinion not a political flag it’s the equivalent to a pirate or other social flag it stands for no country just a group of people with in those countries or country Forgive me for being insensitive but that is a flag for people proud to be homosexual and is just that a social flag not a state or country flag that covers all the people in that state or country
For example the confederate flag one group of people yes it part of US history and it represents the confederate army at the time in history… let’s leave that flag to the people at their private residence and let’s also leave the pride flag at their private residence we don’t see classrooms with a white supremacy flag or a black panther flag hanging up why allow the LGBTQ flag in?

You don’t need to have a flag of something to teach about it. Banning LGBTQ flags is more about extending the ban on religious dogma in schools to non-secular religions.
