Amending the public information act

As someone who has been a victim of a stalker, I believe as citizens we have a right to our private information protected. There needs to be a law in place to remove sites like spokeo, white pages etc. just a quick google search I can look myself up and find my address, phone number, email and relatives. I understand some information should be public in regards to safety; registered s*x offenders, violent criminals and so forth. But as a law abiding citizen it should be a given right to protect my privacy.
