I could be crazy here but I feel that churches should be allowed to have bells ringing out over their communities once more. The beautiful melodious sounds ringing out to the people to let them know that it’s time to gather together for worship. And in my opinion it’s almost like the bells have a healing tone for the mind and heart.

That sounds like a city ordinance to me if there is one and I would challenge it because your bells mean it’s time to come to church. And that is freedom of speech it’s also freedom of religion if you were ringing the bells that you know 5:00 a.m. that might be a little bit of an issue but it’s actually freedom of speech and freedom of religion even at 5:00 a.m… have you went to your counsel and tried to change that ordinance or even tried to challenge the ordinance because that’s what that is that’s not a that wouldn’t pass constitutional muster that’s not a law

I agree, and also agree that this is most likely a city thing and should be allowed within typical working hours of the day.

Churches in the USA don’t have bells?
Where I live - not in USA - I wake up as the church next door strikes the hour… a much better way of waking than an alarm clock!
but yes the bells need to be high quality and melodious, and not too loud at night.
