All we hear is that young, healthy people don’t get insurance and Medicare is a complete mess. Yet, young and healthy adults will join an insurance policy if they could list their retired parents on it with them. As of now, to have your parents on your insurance, they need to be your dependents. That should not be the case. By allowing middle-aged people to have their retired parents (or guardians) placed on their insurance, it will also reduce the stress on Medicare by having less people on a program that is already a mess. Let the people take care of their parents medical needs.
