AI Usage to Summarize Bills in Congress + All Inclusive Platform to View Which Elected Officials Voted For or Against Certain Bills

I’d like to propose that the government begin to use AI to analyze & summarize these large bills that come through Congress so that they’re easily digestible for both the elected officials and American people to read through prior to voting.

In tandem, I’d like to see an all inclusive, user friendly platform that easily allows users to sort through the recent bills that have passed through or didn’t and provides a breakdown of which elected officials voted for or against the bill in question.

I believe this will increase transparency between a states elected officials and the people of the state so that the people can see what exactly their Senator/Congressman is or isn’t voting for.

Great idea!

I think the premise of this is great. However I don’t think we want government to lock into a tech platform to achieve this. I think it’s better to allow the entire data set to be easily consumable by any AI service/tech so users can choose what ai is doing the analysis.

Ie empower the people. And if needed Allow private companies to offer services. Make it a free market solution.

Better idea: Do away with absurdly long bills and require the bills actually be read out loud.

If the bills are too long, they’ll have a much harder time going anywhere because of all the time they’ll eat up getting read.

Use AI to gather details and specifics about integrity of officials and raise a red flag on conflicts of public interests, or misuse of position/policy/privileges.
