I’m using Schiff as an example - he made up a lie - spun it, investigated it an got caught. Here’s the odd part - It was VOTED on by his peers if he would need to pay back the money - They voted NO.
It was clearly a lie - they played the political game and lost - and the US taxpayers should get to vote if we want that money paid back - NOT the group that will continue to do the same spending for lawfare.
Basically - if you are caught, Schiff like, you would pay money back and the American public would be able to see where it is used for civic use - not a political expense.
After all his lies - congress voted and said NO he didn’t need to pay back the taxpayers’ money that he blew investigated and plotting his own lie. WHY did congress get to vote on that? These were lies, they knew it - the US taxpayers should get to vote that, yes - little dude should pay back the money from his personal funds
