The Active Duty Military Concealed Carry Act of 2025
Section 1: Short Title
This Act may be cited as the “Active Duty Military Concealed Carry Act of 2025”.
Section 2: Findings
Congress finds that:
-
Active duty military personnel possess training comparable to or exceeding that of law enforcement officers in many cases.
-
The mobility and frequent relocations of military personnel can hinder their ability to comply with varying state concealed carry laws.
-
Granting active duty military the right to carry concealed weapons could enhance their personal security, particularly when stationed in high-risk areas or during off-duty hours.
Section 3: Authorization to Carry Concealed Firearms
(a) Authorization - Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any person on active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States shall be authorized to carry a concealed firearm in any jurisdiction within the United States, its territories, and possessions, in the same manner and to the same extent as a qualified law enforcement officer under the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA), 18 U.S.C. §§ 926B-926C.
