HR8866 is the family advocate bill that was introduced in 2024. Congressman Barry Moore is sponsoring it. We are looking for bipartisan sponsorship again as well and it will be reintroduced under a different title this session. This will allow families to be hired a family advocate. They will be volunteers with lived experience that want to help the families stay together. This is only a very small layer of the reform that needs to happen.
