About the Meetings category

The issue description that I linked to was deleted, although those concerns have oddly, not been addressed yet. So here is the current banned post- copy and pasted below. I had created this feedback directly in response to the website announcement of a Twitterspace discussion regarding the website, because no one, except for one person, was given a chance to speak at that space due to that space’s time constraints.

Here’s the link to your website announcement with the link to that twitterspace: Crowdsourcing questions for Dennis Kucinich X Space on Monday, hiring for an AI engineer, launching Refinements and more updates this week

Can we please have a meeting space to discuss the following concerns/questions?

"Instead of feeling more excited after attending this space, I feel so discouraged. Your words are implying that our policies will only count or be brought to RFK’s attention if we get thousands of votes, and you’re primarily promoting the obvious proposals and not the ones that require more thought. There are over 4K policies here, and you’re making me feel like we’re playing the lottery.

Also, Lauren Lee specifically advertised this site saying that “RFK has promised to read ALL the policies submitted” (paraphrasing). THAT is what brought me here & got me to pour so much of my energy & time to. While I’m sure he can’t read all 4K policies, we aren’t offered any assurances that he’s going to read ANY policy unless you guys show him the top one or two.

My main policy is in the top 2%, it’s a very well thought out policy and I work hard to talk to as many people as possible about it. But that’s only 100 votes. [It’s now at 153 votes.]

There are many reasons why it doesn’t have thousands of votes other than the actual benefit/worth of my proposal.
-no flashy headline. My policy headline isn’t 100% clear as other headlines, because it’s more complex.
-very detailed proposal. Many people don’t want to read thru these details, but these details are crucial to ensure an effective implementation. I need to ensure that everyone who DOES read it, gets these details, too.
-touchy subject in which people have a very, very wide range of various opinions on. It’s not likely the majority can agree on ALL details and often every person has their own preferences. But I hypothesize that many of these people, and the majority of Americans, would still OVERALL appreciate the policy package. In fact, some of those who challenged it in the comments, ended up voting on it.
-the politics of members here swings more right and libertarian than the general populace, and therefore does not fully capture the appeal of moderate policies that would resonate with moderate and common sense voters from the left.
-Once people sign up & cast their first votes, you fail to get most of them to return. A few people told me they wanted to vote for mine but ran out of votes. We shouldn’t HAVE to promote your website. Why not ask RFK to publicly endorse it and promise read the top 5% policies, or top 200, or whatever.
-The policy would sound a lot better coming from Trump or RFK because they don’t have to list off the details; they just highlight the intentions of it & go from there. There is a difference between which particular policy a person prefers, versus how the majority of Americans would feel about a president adopting common sense solutions like these.

Not all policies are created equal. It’s not an even playing field. My policy & related issues is the type of thing that requires more thought/discussion/awareness.

My bottom line: RFK/Trump are not fully informed on all of these issues, or alternate measures they could explore. I have been trying to get thru to RFK (and now, both, since they joined forces and you made this website).

My main goal is getting their eyes on my proposal and the reasons for it. I will continue to ask you, and EVERYONE connected to RFK or Trump, can you please bring my proposal/reasons to their attention & ask their team to contact me directly to discuss it?"
