We could look at Foreign-owned land in America ( commercial farms ect) being taxed at a rate to offset primary residence property tax
We will still have an investment second home and commercial (US-owned) tax if needed, but hopefully not.
There should BE no foreign-owned land in America. There should BE no property tax. But if they insist on taxing property, they should not tax people’s homestead, especially retirees and disabled people. Feel free to fight for an end to property tax on your investment second home. My concern is being allowed to live out the rest of my life in my homestead, not being kicked out into the street where I would quickly die from my health problems.
