Abolish the Federal Education System: Reclaiming Truth, Freedom, and Parental Responsibility

Every August, as parents send their kids back to school, the excitement fills the air. But is this excitement about education or convenience? And more importantly, should we really be celebrating sending our children into a federal system that has proven time and time again to prioritize control, conformity, and indoctrination over truth, freedom, and real learning? Let me take you down this rabbit trail for a moment—because we need to talk about the federal education system, its origins, and why it’s time to abolish it.

The Original Purpose of Education

Let’s start with a little history. Schools were originally established to teach kids about the Bible and God. That’s it. The goal wasn’t to churn out obedient workers for a rat race or teach meaningless facts that would later be proven wrong. The aim was to instill wisdom, values, and truth grounded in God’s Word.

Fast forward to today, and schools are far from their original purpose. Instead of teaching kids about God and His creation, they’ve become indoctrination centers pushing lies, half-truths, and theories as fact. From the Earth being billions of years old to scientists theory’s portrayed as absolute truth, schools feed children a narrative designed to fit the agenda of those in power—not to inspire critical thinking or faith in the Creator.

What Do Kids Actually Learn?

I’m 32 years old, and not a single thing I do in my daily life came from school. Wiring a building, insulating walls, fixing equipment—you know, the practical skills needed to live—I learned these outside the classroom. Sure, someone might argue that school teaches basic math, reading, and writing, but most of those skills are learned long before kids even open a schoolbook. And what about the stuff they teach that isn’t true?

Here’s an example: I was taught that the Earth spins at 700-something mph. Now, if you Google it, they say it’s 1,000 mph. Did the Earth speed up without us noticing? Or how about the fact that schools teach the Earth is 4.5 billion years old, only to later revise it to 4.54 billion? In just 30 years of my life, the Earth aged 50 million years. This isn’t education—it’s manipulation.

The Federal Takeover of Education

The federal government’s involvement in education was never part of the Constitution. Education was meant to be handled at the local level by parents and communities who knew their children best. But through programs like the Department of Education, the federal government has centralized control, dictating what children are taught and how they are tested.

This system was never about empowering kids—it was about control. By teaching conformity, enforcing arbitrary standards, and silencing God, the federal education system has turned schools into prisons of the mind. Kids are no longer taught how to think; they’re told what to think. And parents? They’ve been convinced that this is not only normal but necessary.

Why Are We Excited About This?

Parents say they’re excited for school because of structure, routine, and socialization. But let’s be real: most of the excitement comes from the relief of not having to deal with their kids during the day. It’s easier to send them off and let someone else take care of it than to shoulder the responsibility of teaching them at home.

But here’s the truth: if parents don’t teach their kids, someone else will—and that someone else may not have the same values. The federal education system is teaching kids to reject God, accept lies, and conform to a world that is anything but Christ-centered. By the time they come home, parents are left trying to undo the damage, explaining that what their kids learned wasn’t true. Why put them in that situation in the first place?

What Should We Do Instead?

The Bible says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). This responsibility belongs to parents—not the government. Kids should grow up learning about God, understanding truth, and developing practical skills alongside their families.

Imagine if we replaced schools with communities of believers where kids could learn through experience, build meaningful friendships, and grow in faith. Parents could teach them the truth about God, His creation, and the skills they’ll actually need in life. Fellowship, discipleship, and love would replace the rigid rules, standardized tests, and empty traditions of the current system.

Why the Federal Education System Needs to Go

1.	It’s Unconstitutional: The federal government has no authority to control education. This power belongs to the people of this great country and if they have them the parents.
2.	It’s Indoctrination, Not Education: Kids are being taught lies, silenced about their faith, and conditioned to conform to a broken system.
3.	It’s Spiritually Empty: The very purpose of education—to know God—has been stripped away, leaving kids directionless and disconnected from their Creator.
4.	It Undermines Parents: By outsourcing education to the federal government, parents lose their God-given role as the primary teachers and influencers of their children.

A Call to Action

It’s time to abolish the federal education system and return control to parents and local communities. Let’s stop sending our kids off to be indoctrinated with lies and heresies. Let’s stop pretending that this system works when it’s led to nothing but frustration, confusion, and brokenness.

Instead, let’s take back our responsibility. Let’s teach our kids the truth about God, His Word, and the world He created. Let’s equip them with real-life skills, surround them with love and encouragement, and show them the joy of walking with Jesus.

We don’t need a federal system to raise our kids—we need faith, family, and the courage to stand up for what’s right. It’s time to end the charade and start building a generation that knows the truth, loves the Lord, and won’t depart from it.

You have hit the nail on the head with this comment. I would like to say this. Curriculum needs students reviewing movies/books/music where students can see and feel love. I would then have them review that material in the context of their personal relationship with God.

For instance:
Watch these clips from Oliver. The woman singing in the first song, then does literally do anything, she a boy who everyone thought to be worthless, and was killed for it. This is perfect analogy of the love God for each of us.

Oliver! - I’d Do Anything

Nancy`s death 1968

For kids, the curriculm might for instance say… Pretend that God incarnated as Nancy. But God never let Nancy know that she was God…

  • At the day of judgement, would you trust Nancy to be the judge of all souls? And why?
  • Would all the humans that have ever existed respect Nancy’s decision?
  • What else could be done?
  • Ask about Jesus two commandments. Love God with all your heart, mind and soul (because clearly God loves us). And treat others as you would be treated. Now explain how both of these commandments are really about love. And if God loves us, is it right to count our blessings through the day and love him back?
