A Person Must Be Born In The United States of America To Hold Office

Just like the President of the United States of America, anyone who holds office in the House of Representatives or Senate must be born in America. There are too many foreign nationals who now hold office and do not represent WE THE PEOPLE. Their allegiance is to their home country and not America. THIS MUST STOP NOW!!!

There are thousands of children born here, then their parents fly back to China or Israel, raise the child there and as an adult, come back to the U.S. to hold public office. The rule should say “born and raised in the U.S.” and no dual citizens.

I could see the dual citizenship question being of concern. Senator Ted Cruz has dual citizenship (born in Canada to American parents), the late Senator John McCain was born in Panama. I would say neither of them are/were Anti-American. I suspect there are a lot of good people that are born on foreign soil to American families that you are immediately shutting out from holding office through no fault of their own.

It should be simple, if you pledge allegiance to a foreign country, you cannot hold an elected position. If you seek ill will on our Government or the citizens thereof, you cannot hold an elected office. Those two policies would remove several Democrats currently in office.
