Place a 50% tariff on the 100’s of thousands of jobs offshored to India.
Large US companies have been methodically taking good paying jobs and transferring the work load to India for a fraction of the cost.
This one simple policy would do more good than 100 other policies combined to bring white collar employment back on shore.
The impact would not be inflationary.

Very nice policy proposal - Very American. It’s most immediate impact would be felt in the IT industry. If America is going to lead the way in AI, QFS, Crypto space, encryption, hypersonics, telecom, supercomputing, and robotics, this policy proposal should be top priority (speaking as an IT person who was outsource-impacted by TATA Indian Consulting company years ago).

Why limit it 100% retail value terrif on everything imported if it could be done in the US
