Europeans live longer than americans do and its because they have policies that lend themseves to living a more leisirely oriented lifestyle. Nobody works more than americans do with the exception of the japanese maybe. We need to reward our full time employees with more time off to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Less stress would help.americans to live a better and healthier lifestyle. Were working ourselves to death. Part of the American dream should include more leisure time. Time for families to enjoy together. Our productivity will be better because of lower rates of burn out.
It would certainly help to have more paid vacation and sick time.
BTW, I have also proposed ideas to help people get more family leave, as well as intermittent time off.

As a born European we work our asses off actually. We live longer because we live healthier , eat healthier and have sidewalks everywhere as in we walk a lot more than the average American.
