Not sure of how, but a program for widows/widowers as far as financial assistance would go a long way. Especially for those whose spouse didn’t have life insurance.
Most widows are under the poverty level, they need help. Some can’t even get a place to live, the rent is at least 3/4 of their checks. Please we need help.
I would have never thought of this, but now that I am reading your thought I agree. People lose loved ones all the time and not everyone was rich or had life insurance. I am a stay-at-home mom at the moment for my 2-year-old and my husband is a truck driver and they made like certain rules as what would happen if my husband died in a crash. My thought would be how would I support my daughter if my husband died on the clock. I am a nurse so I could get a job, but my husband made a lot more money than I would. So, this is a great idea and for people who truly need it should receive the help they deserve.
So how could we do this on a community or county level rather than asking government for more? The more we ask them for, the more control we give them. How can we do this in a stable and affordable manner that keeps government out of it?
