I feel strongly that voting day should be a legal holiday. This would allow of course more people casting votes, especially the hard working people that do not have the luxury of flexibility to vote in person. It should be a day to focus on the importance of the act and the whys of its importance. Too many have grown complacent or disenfranchised from having a candidate to vote for and feel it doesn’t even matter because of corruption. I say, empower Americans to be involved, at the end of the day it’s the people of this nation that makes it great. If you bring non fungible proof that you indeed voted offer holiday pay. If no benefits are available from employers, establish a government paid minimum tax credit for proof of voting.
