Transparency In Media

We need transparency in the information that is getting to the American people via our “trusted” news sources.

Most information relayed to the people is opinion disguised as fact. The is no fact checking news pundits who are merely stating “their” opinion. There is no penalty for misguiding the audience. This is predatory behavior.

It should be clear for audiences to be able to distinguish opinion from fact. Since networks will not fact check their own pundits and allow them to state whatever they want, no matter how harmful, policy needs to be created to help people distinguish this.

Obviously there is freedom of speech protected by The Constitution, however institutions held to the high regard of educating the public of happenings in the world should need to disclaim, in some way, when ideas and information stated are opinion or for entertainment purposes.
