Too much time spent between election day and inauguration

No major decisions should be made during this period without the Presidential Elect being part of the vote as well. Look at what the Biden Administration is doing. We voted we don’t want to support foreign wars, so they’re sending every last dollar we have. We voted for peace and the Biden Administration is trying to start WW3.

Disagree. Most services were not intended to be part of government. They should be in the private sector.

I think more importantly than having the president in earlier is making sure congress is in early enough to approve cabinet members and pass bills the president needs day one, maybe we could swear congress in on Dec 1st and the president on January 1st

Good points.

I believe it is set up this way to allow the incoming President to pick the new Administration. I think I heard it is about 14,000 people they have to choose. President Trump mentioned that since he was not part of Washington he didn’t know anyone the first time around and had to trust the advice of others. This time around he knows more people. In addition, they were proactive and started choosing sooner and getting everyone ready so they can launch right away. But it is privately funded. Normally it is taxpayer funded and they have to wait for the Government. If the people working for government want to cause delays they do. Part the issue and why they chose to do private funding. Congress can also delay the process.

What do you call what our current administration is doing on their way out?

Thank you for this!

It would be nice if the incoming President could take office on January 1 start the year off at least
