Term Limits for Elected officials

I think the most magnetic draw to going back to colonialism is that we have essentially “royalty” in the guise of elected officials in our office. Life long POWERFUL politians who know the ins and outs of the process. This is dangerous. They stay in for very long periods of time, play the stock market, and come out with an unfair personal gain.

Military men and woman can no longer serve their country once they turn 60 years of age. Why is age not addressed with our leaders that could lead our country into and through a war?

This is also a problem. We need to regulate the cycle of congress/senate/ other positions in office to maintain a healthy government. This lowers the affects of corruption on our judicial system and paves a way for healing when bad decisons are made, instead of our leaders doubling down on their failed policies to save face.

By the way…(Wouldnt it be nice if a leader could admit to a mistake!!!) Owning you and your team (administrations) mistakes is apart of being a leader!

I truly think this may be one of the most important things we can pass. We dont need career politicians who are so old they leave office kicking and screaming. We need to create an environment politically where people could actually care, instead of profitable motives.

4 year terms out of cycle with the presidential elections, not to exceed 2 terms. Turnover time with the previous incumbents would be nice. Internships and opportunities for individuals seeking or interested in political office could be leveraged. Transparency and investor like reports easily available to the people so they can see changes being made. Attrition is good and is needed.

This would ensure accountabilty. This would enpower voters. This would pave a way for liberty.
