CURRENT POLICY- To claim the Student Loan Interest Deduction, your MAGI must be $90,000 or less for single filers and $185,000 or less for joint filers in 2023 .
This threshold is absurd and should be eliminated. Anyone with student loans should be able to deduct the interest.
This will assist in driving the economy and help people pay their loans back faster.
