In theory, if you’re a US citizen, you can opt out of CBP biometric picture collection when entering the US. But in practice, if you do, you’ll get harassed and/or intimidated by the CBP officer. The fact that it is happening at all airports suggests that officers are trained to do that. Such weaponization of CBP against US citizens needs to stop!

Anything like this should be opt in not out.
Same with data collection online.
If they want to collect our data they should pay us for that data. It’s ours. That includes our picture.

They can’t seem to wrap their heads around the idea that, if someone is not breaking the law or suspected of foul play, that collecting and storing personal data of EVERY individual that walks or drives past a camera, is consindered an “unreasonable” searching of private data (by virtue of mass indiscriminate surveillance and collection), and “seizure” of that data, by archiving it into a database for the next hundred years. See 4th Amendment.
