The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was a program that employed 3.4 million Americans from 1933-1942 planting trees and repairing infrastructure. This program created jobs, stimulated the economy, and helped protect the environment.
A modern-day CCC could benefit workers, the economy, and the environment by providing work for unemployed Americans and reducing the risk of natural disasters such as wildfires which cost the U.S economy millions of dollars every year.
The government could hire an already existing company that is in the business of doing such things and doesn’t rely on the government for its existence.
