Recommend a contract between states for the creation of a salt farm in the Northern Midwest. Pump water from the pacific ocean in a pipeline similar to an oil pipeline to a natural or artificial reservoir allowing water to rejuvenate the western aquifer largely using natures natural filtration method

I believe that a relatively simple solution to depletion of various aquifers in the central and western half of the US is to pump water to one or more locations north of Aquifers that experience significant trouble. A non-invasive supplementation approach can be taken by attempting to solve multiple fundamental issues at once.
- Production of high quality salt with high essential mineral content and low microplastic content can be obtained from deep water ocean waters salt content. This can be used as a domestic product as well as global export.
- Human filtration of water is general energy inefficient and expensive. Earth is, however, an incredible filtration system. daily pumping of water into northern states at just under the maximum ground water absorption rate should more than offset the ‘over pumping’ and ‘population growth’ draining western aquifers.
- the main concerns with implementing such a plan would involve
a) original filtration (ensuring that fish and seaweed aren’t collected in the pipelines
b) state participation in the plan. California would likely reject any proposals to enhance western lifestyles (being the sort of people that dump billions of gallons of clean water back into the ocean) but I imagine that Washington or Oregon may be convinced to be more amicable
c) potential poisoning of soil. This is why collection and disbursement of the salt would be important. The ground filtering of salt water would be effective, but overtime the salt content could seep further than the salt farm itself. Collecting and distributing the clean salt would minimize the salt seepage outside of whatever designated plot was dedicated to the endeavor.
