Too many miles of our nation’s beaches are restricted for use due to purported environmental concerns (most often nesting areas for endangered birds). The burden on the local authorities imposing these restrictions should be much higher to justify keeping out citizens and their dogs and motorsports. The federal government owns all beaches below the high water mark and has jurisdiction. Nothing is more American than enjoying the beach with your dog and ORV and the environmental left has ruined that for vast areas of our coasts.
