Require recall of Implanted Medical Devices to be sent directly to patients

Automobile manufacturers are required to send recall notices directly to the consumer, but when a Medical Device that has been implanted into your body is recalled, the patient is NOT sent a recall notice. The only way a person knows to even be concerned is when a lawyer on TV says, “If you or a loved one has died as a result of…”, then, and only then, you may be lucky enough to notice that you should be concerned, if you are one of the unfortunate ones having received that faulty product. The one that is now INSIDE your body. The doctors don’t tell you, the hospital doesn’t tell you, the nurses don’t tell you. The lawyer, who will be paid to represent you, by YOU, is the one that tells you. Absolutely unacceptable. And then, to top it all off, once you’ve signed the contract to allow the lawyer to represent you, you are not ALLOWED to discuss your case with anyone, lest you forfeit your right to receive a payout from the HUGE corporation you are going up against. WHAT?? Don’t share with fellow citizens that ANYONE with that dangerous product inside of them should DO something about it?? This is an outrage and while it was a few years back that I lost my Dad, I am now RE-MAD.
