Bruce, if you think that we have an “either/or” scenario here; where we EITHER have the American People compensated for their pain, suffering and loss OR we focus on paying off a “national” debt, which primarily consists of illicit payments, money-laundering, grift, and wasted resources, then this view might be a bit too simplistic.
You claim that these treasonous Congressional representatives, and various department and agency heads, who conjured up this cumulative debt for decades, (pocketing large amounts of wealth for themselves while enriching foreign nations in the same fashion, through money-laundering taxpayer funds through USAID and the like), have suddenly created a LEGITIMATE debt for the American People? This is not true. The second they broke the very oath that they were sworn to uphold, and voted to allocate funds to other countries, knowing their family would get a few million in kickbacks, the new debt that they created no longer became the responsibility of the American People.
For you to claim, after years of highway robbery by oath-breaking treasonous trash, that the end result is a mountain of debt that the American People now have to pay down, is absolutely insane. You want to go pay all of these countries these trillions after the thieves have already made off with the loot, go right ahead – pay back the money stolen by the thieves. I personally don’t agree with 99.8% of where ANY of those funds went – and I damned sure aint signing up to pay the very train ticket for the thieves that already left the train station. What the American People want, is the wealth that the thieves stole from them returned back to them. Damn the ticket.
If you want to focus paying off the non-National debt so badly, then march right over there to the Treasury department, crank up the very same printing press (figuratively speaking because they use a computer keyboard these days to create new money) and crank out the same FAKE money that the thieves did when they created the money for the debt in the first place, and use your newly printed FAKE money to pay off the FAKE debt.
You are playing right into the hands of the thieves when you scream about paying back the money that they stole from America. That is what they EXPECTED and WANTED you to do. You might as well be handing the stolen loot over to them by yourself. The only way to change their intended plans, is to NOT pay it off (or pay it off with newly printed FAKE money), and instead, go after them and the wealth they stole, and return it back to those who had their purchasing power stolen from them during the heist – the American People. And since these thieves have converted the majority of that stolen loot into other tangible assets (houses/land/cars/stocks/gold), then we need to confiscate and sell off those assets, and return said stolen purchasing power back to the American People, thus compensating them for their loss, and pain and suffering through continued inflation.
This is how it is properly done in every court in the land. It applies here as well. If you are in a generous mood and want to pay the robbers’ train ticket…have at it; but don’t call for everyone else to fork over a penny, after their purchasing power in their retirement accounts was already stolen from them during this multi-decade unconstitutional and treasonous public funds money-laundering heist through secret USAID and other agencies’ accounts.
A bit of common sense also applies here: one should never confront one’s enemy on their own battlefield – never play a game where it is already rigged against you – and never settle accounts where the robbers expect you to cover the loss stemming from their heist (aka, via “claimed” national debt). The moment that these robbers broke their oath to uphold the Constitution, was also the very moment that the stolen loot was NOT considered a “national debt” but rather, “an individual heist”. We should not throw good money (future public commitments) after bad (losses due to oath-breaking congressional theft), on this one. The American People simply want their wealth returned back to them – they are not interested in paying out more wealth then they have already paid (through current grocery inflation and decreased purchasing power in their retirement accounts). They have already been damaged and they are now seeking retribution and compensation for such damages. The “un-national” debt has nothing to do with it. It is that simple.
PS - if you also wanted to address the wasteful spending and the inability for departments and agencies to balance their budgets, thus leading to larger unaccountable debt, then this policy proposal might work as well…
